12-16-17: This is a soft pup at this time. He, like his siblings does not like 'giants' in his welping area.
He is submissive at this young age, as he should be. He is not very noisy and loves to sleep.
You will NOT have any growth issues coming from the Boss side of the gene pool, nor do i believe you will have any issues in the bones and growth from his moms side. Elwin has NO bone issues or giant growth issues.
Trainability: As a malamute, the breed is not very trainable. Most are trainable when young but as they mature, they become independent. If you reach this boys brain and teach him the meaning of body language and rewards, you should be able to get a good understanding between you.
Personality: He will love everyone in the neighborhood and will love other animals at a young age. As he matures if he gets socialized and good things come of it, then he will ALWAYS love people. It would take a devastation to turn his love of people around.
He will be clownish and will throw his toys up in the air and pounce on them. If you reach his mind, then he may put his toys away, or line them up and let you know which is his favorite. He will not be an obedience instructor, lol.. He will become more independent and stubborn as he matures, so teach him young.
Hormones: He will be slow to mature, lifting his leg at around 14 months old. Neuter him at a year. If you do not nueter him he will go into his maleness, but he should be able to be handle fine if you want to have a more male type of a dog. If you allow him to go into his man hood, then he would become a more serious dog as he matures. He should not have any growth issues at all.
This pup will be a very IMPRESSIVE looking dog and everyone will want to pet him and take his photo. He is an outcross pup and a boss pup so he should live up to 13 or 14 years without any major issues. Though i will say this, since his mom is an AKC malamute, i do NOT know that side of the lines.
12-24-17: Lightning bolt harry potter look. This is a great pup.Very beautiful and will make an excellent family dog. Good temperament. I like this pup a lot. Was going to keep him, but can not keep so many dogs, so i am keeping a female instead. a Great pup!
