Notes

12/2/24 congratulations to the Riggs family! This little girl is going to have so much fun with you and your family!

2-2024 : Kora now walks on the leash without pulling and only a flick of the wrist will bring her back to you. She understands what “Come” means and will come to you every single time. She has a very fast recall. She does not sit on command as I do not teach my dogs to sit. She will ‘Stand Stay’ and she will ‘stay’ in her kennel and will not come out unless commanded to “ok, come here”. She is a soft dog and can be trained easily just by the index finger tapped on her body. She is highly alert. She does some barking when strange cats or other unknowns show up in her territory.
Since we live out in the boonies, she is NOT use to the city at this time in her short life. She is not familiar with : trucks, laundry mats, over head fans, slippery floors, kids, bicycles or skate boards, small dogs, truck stops, Rail Roads and trains nor crowds of people. I do plan on doing some socialization by taking her for rides in the car to those places listed above during 2024.
She will be bred for one litter then spayed. She should live up to 14 yrs. She resembles a black Shepherd in many ways and you will be stopped MANY times during her walks, just for photos of her. You might even be asked to bred her. Kids will want to hug and pet her. As it is right now, she will love kids and adults to visit her or to pet her. She will stand her ground and wag her tail. She will NOT jump on anyone as this is not acceptable even as she was a pup and has been taught to her. She may drop down on the ground until she figures things out. This is not being shy’ as she is far from shy. There is a big difference between a ‘shy dog’ and an un-trained, un-socialized dog. She is neither gun shy nor thunder and rain shy. She is not loud noise shy either. She is touch sensitive only because she has never been around a lot of people or kids (unsocialized).
Kora could win in any dog show and maybe even agility as she can be very fast once trained to work a consistent set of obstacles.
Kora could also work as a service dog. Because she is black she could be a ptsd dog that will keep others away from you. She could be trained for protection if needed. She may even be able to fetch and return items as she is certainly smart enough.
The reason we will not keep her, is her looks. She resembles a GSD and we will not be keeping any dogs that look like German Shepherds. Why we kept her for a breeding is because she has the genes to throw us dire wolves. Her tail is longer than we want (so she will be bred with a male with a short tail). Her tail also curls (so she will be bred to a straight tail male.
If I were young again and was not a breeder, I would be PROUD to walk this dog through any crowd! She is very well bred and I am proud of how she looks. A great looking dog!

8-23-2-23 More reserved, velcro pup at this age. She is still learning what is around her and where she fits in. As she gets older, she will start learning how to walk on a leash and we will work on crate training. This girl "looks" scary, but she really just wants to hang out and get love!

Friendly and Velcro. This pup will be able to be a sugar, heart monitor, cancer detector or seizure dog. She would like short walks. Car rides are ok. She might play 'find the child'. She would be able to track a short distance and find her food dish'. She likes to get up before the sun comes up and her favorite time is evening.

She would NOT like competition with other dogs such as strange dogs. None of my dogs would like strange dogs as it is not a canine thing to just go up to any dog that she doesn't know. It is not etiquette in the dog world, so absolutely no dog parks for this pup. She would not mind being friends with YOUR animals and YOUR kids and would never harm anything. She is passive. She is the last out of the den.

If she barked, you would need to get up and look as she is not a barker.

As all pups, they can MOLD into what ever you make of them. She can handle gun shots, thunder, storms, winds and behaved kids. LAP THERAPY is a must. She is very VELCRO. She is a soft dog and will learn fast with food rewards and a soft 'no'. She is autistic. Learn to train her and do it well while she is young.

Teach her and train her while young by carrying her and hugging her tightly to show her you will protect her and that you have her back'. Show her everything as she is in your lap do NOT throw her to the wolves and expect her to not run away and hide. Lap therapy and proper education from dog parents will make her a very special pup for your family. I would not put this pup into any fast pace or fast action situations, she can not and will not handle that. Slow yourself down. Sit with her and watch' from a distance. Use mind games instead of body work. If you are a professional trainer, you could excel at cancer detection, sugar level, or any body monitoring. She is not a dominate female nor is she outgoing. She would not make a public service dog unless you knew our dogs and knew what you were doing. She would do fine with me but not everyone could train this pup.

She is my pick of the litter AA pup.

She will have up ears. She should reach around 95 - 100 lbs
